Sonu Sood announces sister Malvika Sood Sachar's political entry, to reveal party's name at the 'right time'

Popular reel villain Sonu Sood became a real hero for migrants during the lockdown in 2020. He continued his philanthropic activities and stepped up to help people in need. Hailed as the messiah of citizens, Sonu became a revered figure with his selfless social work. Many feel the actor might foray into politics soon. Well, Sonu hasn't revealed his plans yet, but he did announce his sister Malvika Sood Sachar's political entry. 

As per a leading daily's report, Sonu called a press conference at his home in Moga where he announced that his sister Malvika was ready to serve the people of Punjab. The leading daily quoted Sonu's statement. "Malvika is ready. Her commitment to serve people is unparalleled," the actor said at the press conference. He further added, "But it is a big decision of life when it comes to joining a political party, it is more about ideologies not casual meetings. We will reveal at right time about the party."

The report stated that Malvika will most likely contest from the constituency of Moga. Sonu told the media that his sister's focus will be on the healthcare sector. The actor stated that if Malvika gets elected, she will ensure that patients who need dialysis get them for free. She will also look into the issue of unemployment in the state. When asked about his plan to foray into politics, Sonu said, "First it is important to support Malvika, she is connected to our roots in Moga. I will reveal my own plans later."

In August this year, Sonu was named as the brand ambassador for Delhi Government's 'Desh Ka Mentor' programme. He met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and they attended a press conference together.
