OG con-couple Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan return to reclaim their position from new age Siddhant Chaturvedi-Sharvari in Bunty Aur Babli 2 trailer

16 years ago, Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan teamed up to entertain the audience as con-couple Bunty and Babli in Yash Raj Films' Bunty Aur Babli. Now, the sequel of the film is ready to release in theatres. Titled Bunty Aur Babli 2, the film stars Rani with Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh. Today, the trailer of the film was released.

The trailer of Bunty Aur Babli 2 begins with Rani, who plays the role of Mrs Vimmi Trivedi. She is married to Saif, who is Rakesh Trivedi, and the couple has a son. 15 years ago, Vimmi and Rakesh were famous by the name of Babli and Bunty, the con-couple. However, in a twist of events, Bunty and Babli make headlines for conning people. Vimmi and Rakesh are the prime suspects. That's when Siddhant and Sharvari are introduced as the new age Bunty and Babli. Bunty Aur Babli 2 trailer promises that the film will be high on humour, drama and entertainment as the audience will witness a battle between OGs and the new age.

Saif explained, "Films on con jobs have historically had great disguises and that's half the fun. Nowadays we have prosthetics and makeup of a totally different level so people can expect really amazing get-ups and disguises from the cast and doing all that was a lot of fun."

Rani shared, “Both sets of con-couples are extremely intelligent. They are the best when it comes to wearing disguises because they are the best at conning people with this skill. In this film, they come face to face with each other and it’s a battle to watch out for!”

Siddhant said, “I have played so many avatars in just one film! When you do a film like Bunty Aur Babli, you promise people that they will get to see the lead actors in disguises to pull off elaborate cons and this film will over-deliver in this regard.”

Sharvari told, "I have been extremely fortunate to get a dream debut in Bunty Aur Babli 2. You don’t often get projects in which you play so many roles. I was determined to perform each one of them convincingly because the audience needs to be invested in the disguise so that they enjoy the con thoroughly. I had the best time getting into these looks/avatars like a complete shifter and just putting my best foot forward."

Bunty Aur Babli 2, directed by Varun V Sharma and produced by YRF, will release in theatres on November 19. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi.
