Telugu heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda and Bollywood's newest darling Ananya Panday have teamed up for an action-thriller titled Liger. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the pan-India film is one of the much-awaited projects of 2021. After a break, Vijay resumed the shooting of Liger on September 15 and shared a picture from the boxing ring. It appears the actor plays a professional boxer in the film.

Keeping the story and narrative of Liger in mind, the makers have roped in a professional boxer to star in the film. He is none other than former American boxer Mike Tyson. Karan Johar, the producer of Liger, made the announcement today on social media. Welcoming Mike on board, Karan wrote, "For the first time ever, the king of the ring will be seen on the big screens of Indian cinema! Welcoming @MikeTyson to the #LIGER team!"
