Akshay Kumar replies to IPS officer after he finds loopholes in Sooryavanshi's BTS picture

At last, Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi will release in theatres on Diwali this year. The exact date of release is yet to be announced. After attending a meeting with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray, Rohit shared that the cop drama is finally making it to the big screen after almost 18 months of delay. Akshay, who plays the titular role in Sooryavanshi, shared a BTS picture with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Rohit.

In the picture, Ranveer can be seen seated on a desk whereas Akshay and Ajay are standing with Rohit. As per the filmmaker's cop universe, Ranveer a.k.a Simmba is 'Singham' Ajay and 'Sooryavanshi' Akshay's subordinate. Soon after the picture went viral, an IPS officer pointed out that in the police force, subordinates can't be seated when their seniors are standing. He tweeted, "Inspector sahab baithe hai (tan kar) aur SP Sahab khade, aise nahi hota hai janab."

Akshay, with the utmost respect for the police force, replied to the IPS officer. He clarified, "Janab ye toh behind the scenes photo hai. Hum kalakar logo ke lie jaise hi camera on hua, ekdum protocol wapas." The Bollywood superstar further added, "Regards forever to our great police forces. Hope you like the film when you watch it."

The IPS officer responded to Akshay's tweet and said, "Thank you for your response and respect you showed for the forces @akshaykumar. My comment was also in a lighter vein."

Akshay plays the role of an Anti-Terrorism Squad officer named Veer Sooryavanshi. The film also stars Katrina Kaif.
