Akshay Kumar’s and Katrina Kaif’s highly anticipated film Sooryavanshi is all set to hit theatres during Diwali 2021. The announcement was made today by director Rohit Shetty after it was announced by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray that cinema halls and theatres will reopen after October 22 in the state.
Rohit took to Instagram to share a picture with CM Uddhav Thackeray after he met him with the industry delegates to discuss re-opening of theatres in the state. He wrote, “Thanks to our Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Uddhav Thackeray, theatres in Maharashtra to reopen from 22nd October.
And FINALLY!!! we can say, This DIWALI… AA RAHI HAI POLICE…@akshaykumar @ajaydevgn @ranveersingh @katrinakaif @reliance.entertainment @dharmamovies @tseries.official #capeofgoodfilms.”
Sooryavanshi is one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year. Besides Akshay and Katrina it also has cameos from Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn and is an extension of Rohit’s cop universe.
