Manoj Bajpayee files defamation case against Kamaal R Khan for calling him 'ganjedi' and 'charsi' in tweet

With The Family Man 2, Manoj Bajpayee once again proved his mettle as an actor, that too a legendary actor. The web series created by Raj and DK saw Manoj play the role of Srikant Tiwari, who was pitted against a menacing Samantha Akkineni a.k.a Raji. The actor has been receiving accolades for The Family Man 2 and has made the entire fraternity and his fans proud. While The Family Man 2 was a success on arrival, Kamaal R Khan went on to pass derogatory comments on Twitter.

Months later, Manoj finally took action against KRK, a self-proclaimed critic and actor. The 3-time National award winner reportedly filed a criminal defamation complaint against KRK in an Indore court for his derogatory tweets. Reportedly, Manoj filed the criminal complaint in the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) under IPC section 500 (punishment for defamation). In a press release, Manoj's lawyer, Paresh S Joshi, reportedly told that the actor appeared before the court to record his statement.

In a series of tweets, KRK compared The Family Man 2 to 'soft porn'. He further commented on the actor's family and even called him a 'ganjedi' (stoner), among other things. KRK tweeted derogatory things about the show and Manoj last month.

In May, Salman Khan had filed a defamation case against KRK after he reviewed the superstar's film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The Bombay Civil Court, in June, passed an interim order restraining KRK from posting, making and uploading videos, tweeting or publishing any defamatory content, directly or indirectly against Salman Khan, his business ventures, film and projects.
