Suniel Shetty is the latest celebrity who received a golden visa from the United Arab Emirates government. The actor took to social media to thank the UAE government for issuing the golden visa to him.
Sharing a photo, Suniel wrote, “A big Thank You to the visionary leaders and the govt. authorities of the UAE. Thank you so much for the honour. @dubaimediaoffice @gdrfadubai @dubai @emiratesfirst @shafeeq7777 @atifrahman @abubaker.alali”
On the other hand, the government’s social media handle also shared a photo with the actor and wrote, “It was a honor for @emiratesfirst to be of service to the versatile actor @suniel.shetty on obtaining the #goldenvisa from the #UaeGovt ! @jamadusman #goldenvisa #bollywood #dubai #uae #expo2020 #emiratesfirst.”
In 2019, the UAE implemented a new system for long-term residence visas wherein foreigners can live, work and study in the country without the need of a national sponsor and with 100 per cent ownership of their business on the UAE’s mainland. These visas will be issued for 5 or 10 years and will be renewed automatically. The visas are granted to investors, entrepreneurs, specialized talents and researchers in various fields of science and knowledge and bright students with promising scientific capabilities.
