Akshay Kumar says Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra should play him in the actor's biopic, reacts to his viral meme

Neeraj Chopra made history by becoming the first track and field athlete to bag an Olympic gold for India. Social media got flooded with congratulatory messages for Neeraj as soon as he won the medal. Soon after, an old interview of the athlete started doing the rounds where he revealed the name of the Bollywood actor he would want to play his role in his biopic. The sportsman named Akshay Kumar and soon after several memes went viral on social media with an old photo of the actor holding a stick, relating it to javelin throw. 

Now, in a media interaction for his upcoming film Bell Bottom, when asked if he would like to do Neeraj Chopra's biopic, Akshay said "I think he’s a very good-looking chap, he’s tall & handsome. If a biopic about me is made someday, he should play me in the film"

Reacting to the viral memes, Akshay said, “I saw that meme where I am holding a stick in my hand. It’s from my first film Saugandh. People started saying, ‘Arre, abhi se practice chalu ho gayi! (He has already started practicing for Chopra’s biopic)’. I found that very funny.”

For the unversed, after Neeraj won an Olympic gold medal, netizens found an old picture of Akshay holding a stick and flooded the internet with memes suggesting that the actor was already preparing to play the athlete in a film.
