Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Mahaveer Jain to meet Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to launch a new film policy making the state a shooting-friendly destination

After wrapping the Ladakh schedule of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan along with his former wife Kiran Rao and son Azad headed to Kashmir. Reportedly, the actor will be shooting for a few portions in the valley. During his visit to Kashmir, Aamir and Kiran, who is producing Laal Singh Chaddha, met Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan. According to reports, they discussed the new film policy of the state.

Now, on August 5, Aamir along with director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Mahaveer Jain will join the Lieutenant Governor in Srinagar to launch a new film policy to make Kashmir a favourite shooting-friendly destination.

On July 31, Mr Sinha shared a picture with Aamir and Kiran after their discussion and wrote, "Met renowned film actor Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao today. We discussed new film policy of J&K, which will be released shortly. The discussion also focused on reviving J&K glory in Bollywood and making it a favourite film shooting destination."

In February this year, Mr Sinha and Nitishwar Kumar, Principal Secy to Lt Governor, met celebrities like Imtiaz Ali, Nitesh Tiwari, Dinesh Vijan, Ekta Kapoor, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Ssanjay Tripaathy in Mumbai. They shared ideas and opportunities to revive Bollywood‘s patronage with Kashmir. Discussion to resume shoots in Jammu & Kashmir was the key highlight.
