Haseen Dillruba to get a sequel? Vikrant Massey says 'it looks like a genuine possibility'

Vikrant Massey has once again proven his mettle as an actor in Vinil Mathew's Haseen Dillruba. The film written by Kanika Dhillon and co-starring Taapsee Pannu and Harshvardhan Rane features Vikrant as Rishu. The actor, who has been winning hearts with his typical lover boy roles, gave a surprise in the thriller. Without revealing any spoiler, Haseen Dillruba ended on such a note that the audience couldn't help but ask, "Is a sequel in the making?" Answering this question, Vikrant told a leading daily that there is a 'genuine possibility' and if the public demands, the team will consider a sequel.

"It looks like a genuine possibility. People want it, and if there is public demand, we will think about it. The film ends at a delicious point, and Kanika [Dhillon] is a masterful writer. Sequels depend on producers; if they are game, we will be too. When this film came to me, I was looking to play a grey part. Basis my off-screen personality, the public perception is, ‘How sweet is this boy!' But as an actor, I need to bring to screen every facet of human personality. I am fortunate that I am not pigeon-holed, and want my audience to find something new with each [of my offerings]," Vikrant told.

In Haseen Dillruba, Vikrant plays Rishu, a simple boy from a small town named Jwalapur. He marries the feisty Rani Kashyap (Taapsee Pannu). However, with the entry of Rishu's cousin Neel (Harshvardhan Rane), the relationship between the husband and wife witnesses many twists and turns.

Workwise, Vikrant is gearing up for the release of 14 Phere with Kriti Kharbanda. Apart from that, he has Love Hostel with Sanya Malhotra and Bobby Deol.
