In 2020, Minissha Lamba confirmed that she has ended her marriage with restaurateur Ryan Tham. The Bollywood actress tied the knot in 2015. In a recent interview with a Hindi publication, Minissha opened up about parting ways with Ryan, who is the cousin of Pooja Bedi. The Bachna Ae Haseeno actress said earlier, society didn't accept divorce with an open mind. But now, with women becoming 'self-reliant', society's 'attitude has changed.'
Minissha added that several years ago, people would consider that women are primarily responsible for maintaining the relationship and was expected to make all the sacrifices. Now, things have changed and if she isn't happy, she can move out of the relationship.

Minissha told, "In the West, the concept of self-love is very strong. Self-love does not mean being selfish. Divorce is not easy but when the relationship becomes toxic then it is okay to leave. I would also like to say that your marriage or relationship can be an important part of your life but it cannot be your whole life. Unfortunately, women are identified by their relationship and marital status but now the times are changing."
Minissha and Ryan met each other at the latter's nightclub Trilogy in Juhu in 2013. After dating each other for two years, the couple got married in an intimate ceremony.
