Anushka Sharma’s and Virat Kohli’s coronavirus fundraiser generates Rs 3.6 crore in a day, crosses halfway mark with the couple donating Rs 2 crore

Anushka Sharma’s and husband Virat Kohli’s newly launched fundraiser for Covid-19 has already crossed the halfway mark. After donating Rs 2 crore themselves, they had urged their fans to do the same and help fight the novel coronavirus. It crossed the halfway mark of its target of 7 crore in a day. Anushka and Virat thanked their fans for helping with the cause.

Anushka took to Instagram to share an update about the fundraiser that was conducted in collaboration with Ketto and wrote, “Grateful to everyone who has donated so far. Thank you for your contribution. We have crossed the half way mark, let’s keep going. #InThisTogether #ActNow #OxygenForEveryone #TogetherWeCan #SocialForGood @actgrants @kettoindia.”

The fundraiser’s goal as per the Ketto page is to deploy oxygen solutions, including concentrators and oxygen plants to hospital across India, bolster medical manpower, home car and help scale country’s efforts in vaccination.

The star couple had asked their fans for help in a joint post on Friday. They had asked their fans to contribute to their campaign #InThisTogether with Ketto to raise funds for Covid-19 relief.
