Keep your assumptions to yourself: Varun Dhawan slams troll for questioning his 'privilege' as he gets papped at the Mumbai airport

On Wednesday night, Varun Dhawan returned from Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, where the actor was shooting for his upcoming film with Amar Kaushik titled Bhediya. The actor was accompanied by his wife Natasha Dalal for the shoot. As VD made his way back to Mumbai with Natasha, a troll commented on his 'privilege.

Thinking that Varun was returning to Mumbai after vacationing with his wife, an Instagram user trolled the actor. The troll wrote in the comment section of one of Varun's videos from the airport, "You went for vacay and gave paps the chance to snap, now you come back and complain. Stop over showing your privilege when people in your country are dying (sic)."

Varun was quick to spot the comment and decided to shut the troll. He wrote, "Well, your assumption is wrong. I was shooting my film and not on holiday. And what do you mean 'Gave them a chance?' How do you not give them a chance? I have people who have also lost their life in covid. So please keep you assumptions to yourself (sic)."

Earlier, Varun had deleted a fan-made graphic featuring him, after being criticized for posting it amid the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in India. The graphic, ostensibly a 'common DP' to commemorate his birthday, featured him in various onscreen avatars, and came bearing the message, "Donate plasma, save lives." Several Twitter users pointed out the strange timing of the post, which came when social network timelines are flooded with pleas for help in securing oxygen, medicines, hospital beds, and other vital necessities.
