Veteran music composer Shravan Rathod 'very critical' after tests COVID-19 positive, on ventilator support

Renowned music composer Shravan Rathod, of Nadeem-Shravan fame, has tested positive for COVID-19. He has been put on ventilator support and is said to be very critical. The music composer has been admitted to SL Raheja hospital in Mumbai. 

Shravan's son Sanjeev Rathod spoke to a leading daily about his father's health. "Yes, he tested positive for Covid-19 and is admitted to SL Raheja hospital in Mahim, he is very critical as he has other comorbidities also. Please pray for him," Sanjeev said.

Lyricist Sameer, who is Shravan's close friend, told another daily that since the music composer is diabetic, his lungs have been affected. "Shravan is diabetic and with this infection, his lungs have been totally infected. He has also developed heart issues, please pray to God almighty for his speedy recovery," Sameer told. 

In the '90s, Shravan along with Nadeem composed chartbuster songs for films like Aashiqui, Saajan, Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin, Sadak and Deewana, among many others.
