The country is going through the second wave of COVID-19. Several Bollywood and television celebrities tested positive and have either recovered or are undergoing treatment. Amid this, veteran talk show host, Tabassum, also known as Baby Tabassum, contracted the virus a few days ago. The actress was hospitalised and now, she has been discharged. However, a picture of a weak-looking Tabassum went viral and sparked off the rumour that she is having Alzheimer’s. Now, her son, Hoshang Govil issued a statement clarifying the rumour.

"Yes, mom had COVID and no, she does not have Alzheimer’s. There are some rumours being circulated on WhatsApp about her having Alzheimer’s which is completely incorrect. She is sharp as ever, only slightly out of her elements due to COVID recovery. Mom was totally asymptomatic. She had no symptoms. Two days after shoot for Tabassum Talkies, her blood pressure went slightly higher than usual so we got her tested. She turned out positive so as a precaution, we got her admitted to the hospital. She has recovered now and has also tested negative. We are extremely grateful for all the love and concern that her fans are showing towards us and of course, her," Hoshang, an actor-producer, shared.
