Sachin Tendulkar tests positive for COVID-19, family negative

Former India batsman and captain Sachin Tendulkar has tested positive for Covid-19. "I've tested positive following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative," wrote Tendulkar on Twitter on Saturday.

"I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I've tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative," Tendulkar tweeted.

"I've quarantined myself at home and am following all necessary protocols as advised by my doctors," Sachin said. The former India captain thanked the healthcare professionals for their constant support. "I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country," Sachin added.

Sachin recently led India Legends at the Road Safety World Series. India Legends beat Sri Lanka Legends in the final of the tournament. Sachin Tendulkar is the only cricketer with 100 international hundreds and 200 Tests.
