'Ranbir Kapoor is not well,' confirms uncle Randhir Kapoor amid reports of the actor testing positive for COVID-19

On Monday, reports of Ranbir Kapoor testing positive for the coronavirus started doing the rounds. Buzz was that the actor caught the virus and is currently under quarantine. But when an entertainment website reached out to uncle Randhir Kapoor for confirmation, he could not reveal the cause behind his bad health.

Speaking to a Bollywood website, he said, "I believe he is not well, but I am not sure what he has got. I am not in town.” Earlier, Ranbir's mother, actor Neetu Singh had contracted the coronavirus, while shooting for Jug Jug Jeeyo. Her co-star Varun Dhawan was also diagnosed as Covid-19 positive.

In December, Ranbir's actress-mother Neetu Kapoor had tested positive for COVID-19. The news was shared by her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and later Neetu had confirmed it. 

On the work front, Ranbir is currently working on multiple projects. In his lineup, there is Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra with girlfriend Alia Bhatt, an untitled film with Luv Ranjan co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and Animal with Sandeep Reddy Vanga co-starring Parineeti Chopra and Anil Kapoor.
