Shraddha Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Sonu Sood and others react to Uttarakhand Glacier Burst, send prayers and strength to people

Today morning, a part of the Nanda Devi glacier broke off near Joshimath in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district. This resulted in a massive flood in the Dhauli Ganga river. The flood and avalanche destroyed many houses in the Chamoli village. Relief and rescue work is being carried out and reportedly five teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed. The flooding has also washed away the Joshimath-Malari bridge. Reportedly around 100-150 people are missing.

Soon after the news broke out, several Bollywood celebrities expressed grief and sent out prayers to people affected by the calamity. Shraddha Kapoor tweeted, "Distressing to hear about the glacier breaking off in #Uttarakhand. Praying everyone''s safety there."
