Kartik Aaryan's Dhamaka was to be made with Kriti Sanon, producer says 'she left film without giving a worthy explanation'

Kartik Aaryan has started shooting for his upcoming film titled Dhamaka. Directed by Ram Madhvani, the thriller will release in theatres in 2021. As fans of Kartik are eagerly waiting for further updates on the film, there is a piece of interesting information that has surfaced. Apparently, Dhamaka was initially offered to Kriti Sanon by director Rahul Dholakia. However, the actress opted out of the project at the stage when it was untitled. Talking about the same, Azure's senior producer Gaurav Bose, who was to produce Rahul's film, told a leading daily that after Kriti left the project, the director moved to another project.

Gaurav further explained that the production house was in talks with Ram. When things fell in place, Ram cast Kartik in the lead and the production house sold the rights to Ram who passed it on to RSVP Movies. Now, Ronnie Screwvala's production house is backing Dhamaka.

"Kriti just quit without giving a worthy explanation, I mean, she did not give us a convincing reason. Dholakia got busy in other projects and of late we were talking to Ram Madhvani and things fell into place- and Ram went on to cast Kartik in the protagonist's role. We sold the rights to Ram. This is how Ram is now producing the film and he went on to sell it to RSVP movies who are backing it," Gaurav told.

PeepingMoon.com, exclusively on November 04, 2019, informed its readers that Kriti will no longer be a part of Rahul's film.

Dhamaka is the remake of the South Korean film The Terror Live that revolves around a former news anchor who monopolises the live broadcast of a terrorist attack. Reportedly, Yami Gautam has been signed for the film.
