Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan NOT selected for a role in the Hindi remake of Malayalam film Ishq?

Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan is reportedly the new star kid on the block. After remaining away from the flashlights, Junaid, reportedly, has started preparing for his big Bollywood debut. Rumour had it that Neeraj Pandey's remake of the Malayalam film Ishq will star Junaid. However, clearing the air, a leading daily reported that though he had auditioned for a role but didn't make it through. A source close to the development told the daily that Junaid, who studied filmmaking in the US, is meeting casting directors and auditioning for films. 

"Contrary to the rumours, Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid will not be making his film debut with the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Ishq. He did audition for the role but he did not get selected. Junaid, on his own has been meeting with a lot of casting directors and giving multiple auditions for films, but he hasn’t got anything still. He has been doing theatre for over 3 years," the source told.

Junaid has done theatre for nearly 3 years now.  He was seen in Quasar Thakore Padamsee's Mother Courage and Her Children and in his sister Ira Khan's directorial debut, Euripides Medea. Junaid, who is Aamir's elder son from his previous marriage to Reena Dutta, served as an assistant director in Rajkumar Hirani's PK.
