Alia Bhatt to reportedly return to the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' in October

COVID-19 had shut the entertainment industry down with theatres being closed and no shoots being allowed for a long time. Now, as the industry is gearing up with a few films and TV shows kickstarting shoots, looks like the makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt are all set to resume work in October. Before the monsoon arrived in Mumbai, the beautifully mounted set of Gangubai Kathiawadi in Film City was demolished. As per the buzz, the set cost the makers nearly Rs.6 crores and a source close to the development had informed that it was one of the most expensive and biggest ones created for films.

Now, with the team planning to return to work, the makers have quite some work to wrap. A source revealed, "In the first post-pandemic schedule, they will film solo scenes of Alia Bhatt, and other sequences that require fewer people. Some cheat shots will have to be employed, which will be corrected later at the VFX stage. Being a perfectionist who doesn't want to compromise on the scale of the product, the filmmaker has decided to shoot the more elaborate scenes later. The set is currently being fixed and sanitised for an October shoot. However, Bhansali has yet to determine the final dates."
