Anushka Sharma to 'most likely' play the role of Sita in Prabhas' Adipurush?

Ever since Prabhas' next film Adipurush has been announced, the buzz surrounding the leading actress is making headlines. The magnum opus 3D film directed by Om Raut will see the pan-India superstar as Prabhu Ram while Saif Ali Khan is Lankesh Raavan. After Keerthy Suresh and Kiara Advani, the latest actress to join the race for the role of Sita is Anushka Sharma. Anushka, who has been missing from the screen since 2018, is reportedly the top contender for the character opposite Prabhas.

A source close to the development told an entertainment portal that Om and Anushka's meeting for Adipurush had a positive outcome and the actress is reportedly 'blown' away with his vision. "Anushka Sharma is the top contender for the role. Om met and narrated the whole idea to Anushka and she was blown away by his vision. In fact, their meeting had a very positive outcome and it will most likely be her playing Sita on screen," the source told.
