He is recovering, will be discharged soon: Randeep Hooda's father gives health update on his son's long-pending knee surgery

As we exclusively reported a couple of days back about Randeep Hooda undergoing major surgery at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, new  reports about the actor’s progress are coming out now. Randeep had undergone a surgery on his leg and he is currently under observation. He also underwent the mandatory rapid COVID-19 test but tested negative.

His father, Ranbir Hooda told a leading daily, “Thank you all for your concern. Randeep had a surgery yesterday, he’s recovering and will be discharged soon. He’s COVID 19 negative and the surgery went well so we will be able to take him home soon. The leg injury happened sometime ago. It flared up again recently and was causing him a lot of pain. That’s why he had to undergo this surgery.”

Randeep’s father is a doctor himself and had accompanied the actor to the hospital. Apparently, it was a long pending surgery and an elective one. A close friend was quoted as saying, “Randeep complained of acute pain on Tuesday night, and since he wasn’t feeling better, he left for the hospital yesterday morning. He underwent surgery today and has been kept under observation. Randeep had informed his team on Tuesday that he would need the next two days for himself. However, he didn’t divulge any details. His father, who is a doctor, is with him at the hospital, and he is the best person to talk about Randeep’s health. They will talk about once they have all reports. Randeep doesn’t want people to speculate.”

Last December, Randeep was rushed to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after he dislocated his knee while filming a stunt scene for Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai in which he plays the main antagonist. However, this surgery was not related to the one sustained on the film set.
