Aamir Khan, on August 9, reached Turkey to resume work on his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha. While the shoot is yet to start, the actor is reportedly on a recce. In the middle of this, Aamir, on Saturday (August 15), met Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan at the presidential residence at the Huber Mansion in Istanbul. Reportedly, the meeting was requested by Aamir to discuss the social responsibility projects established in India by him and his wife Kiran Rao.
Emine Erdogan, on Twitter, shared pictures from their meet. "I had the great pleasure of meeting @aamir_khan, the world-renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and director, in Istanbul. I was happy to learn that Aamir decided to wrap up the shooting of his latest movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in different parts of Turkey. I look forward to it!" she wrote.

Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan and written by Atul Kulkarni, also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Manav Vij and Vijay Sethupathi. The Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump was initially scheduled to release on December 25, 2020, however, due to the pandemic, it has been pushed forward by one year. It will now release on Christmas 2021.
