25 years after Govinda's and Karisma Kapoor's superhit film Coolie No. 1 released, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan are all set to give it a modern-day twist with its remake. The film of the same name is directed by David Dhawan himself, who helmed the original one. The Varun-Sara led rom-com has been delayed due to Coronavirus pandemic and fans are waiting with bated breath to watch the film on the silver screen.
While the latest release date hasn't been announced, but the makers surely surprised people by sharing unseen pictures from the sets. The team of Coolie No. 1, on the occasion of David's 65th birthday today, shared unseen BTS stills. Featuring Varun and Sara, the pictures are proof that the film will be heavy on laughter, fun and love!
Coolie No. 1 was scheduled to release on May 1, 2020, but got pushed ahead indefinitely due to the pandemic. The team wrapped the shoot of the film in Goa in February. Before the lockdown was announced, Varun dubbed for his portions. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. Apart from Sara and Varun, Coolie No. 1 features Paresh Rawal, Shikha Talsania, Johnny Lever, Jaaved Jaaferi and Rajpal Yadav in important roles.
