Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor pay a visit to Sanjay Dutt after reports of his lung cancer diagnosis surface

On August 11, the report of Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with lung cancer surfaced. The veteran Bollywood actor who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital due to breathlessness on August 8, issued a statement that he is taking a break from work for 'some medical treatment'. Devastated on learning about lung cancer which is in an advanced stage, Sanjay will reportedly travel to the US for treatment. Amid this, Sanjay's Shamshera co-star Ranbir Kapoor and Sadak 2 co-actor Alia Bhatt paid him a visit at his residence on Wednesday night.

Ranbir and Alia were clicked by the city shutterbugs outside Sanjay's residence. They were seen exiting the premise late at night. For the unversed, the makers of Sadak 2 released the trailer on Wednesday morning. The film sees Sanjay returning as Sadak's Ravi, a taxi driver.

As per reports, Sanjay's wife Maanayata Dutt and kids-Shahraan and Iqra, who were stuck in Dubai due to the COVID lockdown, returned to Mumbai on Wednesday at 1.30 am. Maanayata, hours later, issued a statement asking people to not 'fall prey to speculation and unwarranted rumours'. Calling her husband a 'fighter', she said the family will emerge as winners as they always have. 

Reportedly, in 2014, Maanayata was diagnosed with liver cancer. Sanjay's mother late Nargis' life was cut short due to pancreatic cancer. The Panipat actor's first wife Richa Sharma passed away due to brain tumour.
