Watch: Taapsee Pannu pens a hard-hitting poem 'Pravaasi' highlighting the struggles of migrants and daily wage earners during Coronavirus pandemic

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic crisis has been the toughest phase for the entire world. With lacs of people losing their lives to the invisible enemy, the situation is grim. Amid this, a nationwide lockdown was announced to curb the spread of the novel COVID-19. While the wrath continues, it is migrant workers who have suffered the most. Touching upon this, Taapsee Pannu penned a hard-hitting poem highlighting the struggles of daily wage earners and migrants. Titled Pravaasi, the poem was released on the actress's social media.

Taapsee, through Pravaasi, showed the problems faced by migrants and daily wage workers. With animated graphics depicting their problems, the poem dealt with the topic sensitively and raise the right questions in the time of crisis. "A series of pictures that probably will never leave our mind. The lines that will echo in our head for a long time. This pandemic was worse than just a viral infection for India.  , , ," Taapsee wrote while sharing her poem.

In the wake of the Coronavirus crisis, a number of Bollywood celebrities have stepped forward to send migrant workers and daily wage earners back home safely. With Sonu Sood leading from the forefront, Amitabh Bachchan, Swara Bhasker and others are leaving no stone unturned to do their bit for the society.
