'Your music will always live on,' say Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan and others on Wajid Khan's untimely death

The nation woke up to the shocking news of Wajid Khan's untimely death. The music composer and singer who along with his brother Sajid Khan delivered numerous hits in the past, breathed his last at the age of 42. Wajid was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for over two months and was in critical condition for the last 10 days due to his heart ailment. It is believed that he was infected with Coronavirus three days ago.

Soon after the news broke out during the wee hours of Monday morning, Bollywood offered their condolence to the bereaved family. Sonu Nigam was the first to inform about Wajid's sudden and shocking demise. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra and several others paid tribute to the ace singer-composer.

"T 3548 - Shocked at the passing of Wajid Khan .. a bright smiling talent passes away .. duas , prayers and in condolence," Mr.Bachchan tweeted.

"Terrible news. The one thing I will always remember is Wajid bhai’s laugh. Always smiling. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family and everyone grieving. Rest in peace my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers. @wajidkhan7," Priyanka wrote offering condolence. 

"shocked hearing this news @wajidkhan7  bhai was extremely close to me and my family. He was one of the most positive people to be around. We will miss u Wajid bhai thank u for the music," Varun wrote while sharing a picture of Wajid with his father David Dhawan.

Ranveer shared a picture of Wajid on Instagram with a broken heart emoji.

" your music will always live on...deepest condolences to the family and loved ones ....gone too soon....." Karan tweeted.

"I used to call him my brother from another mother. Besides being unbelievably talented he was so gentle & sweet. I’m so heartbroken that I did not get to say Goodbye my sweet @wajidkhan7 I will miss you & our jam sessions forever. Till we meet again ," Preity wrote while sharing a picture with Wajid.

"Wajid Bhai you were the nicest, nicest nicest man! Always smiling. Always singing. All heart. Every music session with him was memorable. You will truly be missed wajid bhai. ," Parineeti tweeted while recalling moments spent with Wajid.

"Gone too soon .. thank you for the music deepest condolences to his family," Farah Khan said while Sophie Choudry wrote, "Just can’t believe this heartbreaking newsA true lover of music in every sense, incredibly talented & one of the happiest souls gone too soon. RIP Wajid bhai. Allah aapko jannat naseeb karein. You, ur smile & ur music will be missed. My love and duas to the family"

Arbaaz Khan, who shared a family-like relationship with Wajid, wrote, "RIP Wajid bhai you will be deeply missed. The music industry has lost a gem. Gone to soon. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and friends. Allah jannat naseeb kare" Daisy Shah tweeted, "Rest in peace Wajid Bhai. I am deeply saddened by the news that you are no more with us. Your contribution to the music industry will be remembered forever. You will be missed @wajidkhan7 My condolences to his family."

Rahul Dholakia, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ronit Roy, Nikkhil Advani and Soni Razdan offered their condolences to the family.
