Amitabh Bachchan, in 2000, presented a revolutionary game show that went on to change the dynamics of television viewing. Titled Kaun Banega Crorepati, the reality show holds a special place in our hearts forever. Two decades since its inception, Kaun Banega Crorepati has a strong fanbase. Now, after successful 11 seasons, Mr. Bachchan is all set for the twelfth edition. The registration for the same started on May 9 and amid the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, the first question orbitted around the pandemic.
Now, as the lockdown continues, the selection process of Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 will be going virtual this year. Well, yes. Mr.Bachchan, during the registration period that is from May 9 to May 22, will be putting forth questions on Sony TV at 9 pm. After the registrations, the shortlisted contestants will be informed about the further process. In the next level, they will be asked to record their audition and clear a general knowledge test on the Sony LIV app along with a video.
Post completing the registration and submission of the audition clip and video is done, the contestants will appear for a personal interview. These interviews will be conducted through video conferences. Then, a final list of contestants will be released.
Kaun Banega Crorepati, ever since its inception, is majorly hosted by Mr. Bachchan barring the third season which had Shah Rukh Khan seated on the veteran actor's chair. The premiere date of the twelfth season isn't confirmed yet and is likely to be decided post the current nationwide lockdown is lifted.
