'Gone to a better place,' say an emotional Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli on their pet Bruno's death

It is no secret that Anushka Sharma and her husband Virat Kohli are pet lovers. The couple, who leaves no stone unturned to spread awareness regarding the welfare of animals, is mourning the death of their pet Bruno. The beagle was the cricketer for 11 years before breathing its last today. Anushka and Virat who often shared pictures with Bruno, gave out the heartbreaking news through a sweet Instagram post. The actress uploaded a throwback picture featuring her with Virat and Bruno.

"Rest in peace my Bruno. Graced our lives with love for 11 years but made a connection of a lifetime. Gone to a better place today. God bless his soul with peace," wrote Virat while sharing a picture of Bruno. Anushka said, "♥ Bruno ♥ RIP ♥" with the picture.

Soon after Anushka and Virat shared a heartfelt message for Bruno, celebrities like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, Sonali Bendre, Diana Penty, Shraddha Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and other pet parents extended love and support to the couple. 

Anushka, on the other hand, is parenting a dog named Dude. On Instagram, the Jab Harry Met Sejal star keeps fans posted about Dude's cute activities at regular intervals. 

Workwise, Anushka is gearing up for the release of her web series Paatal Lok on Amazon Prime Video. The neo-noir series bankrolled by the actress's home production house-Clean Slate Films, will stream from May 15.
