Bollywood, in the last two days, sailed through the blackest days in the history of Indian cinema. The passing away of Irrfan at 54, and Rishi Kapoor at 67, came across as a major blow to their families and near-dear industry mates. The veteran actors, both battling cancer for the past two years, said goodbye to the world, leaving us all in tears. Amid this grim situation, rumours of Naseeruddin Shah being hospitalised did the rounds yesterday and caused nothing but panic.
However, as the tough day came to an end, Naseeruddin, through his Facebook account, broke his silence and refuted to the false rumours. The 69-year-old actor asked his fans and well-wishers to not believe in fake news and informed that he is at home, abiding by the nationwide lockdown rules.
Naseeruddin's son Vivaan Shah, on Twitter, also gave a clarification that the news of his father taking ill is incorrect. The actor who has done films like Happy New Year, 7 Khoon Maaf, Bombay Velvet to name a few, offered his condolence to Irrfan's and Rishi's family. "All well everyone! Baba's just fine. All the rumours about his health are fake. He's keeping well Praying for Irfan Bhai and Chintu ji. Missing them a lot. Deepest condolences to their families. Our hearts go out to all of them. It's a devastating loss for all of us," Vivaan wrote on Twitter.

Naseeruddin's actress wife Ratna Pathak Shah, in a statement to a leading daily, told, "We are all just fine, thanks"
Workwise, Naseeruddin was seen in Vivek Agnihotri's The Tashkent Files and ZEE5's short film titled Half Full.
