Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar pay tribute to doctors, nurses and medical staff fighting against COVID-19 through ‘Teri Mitti’ song

Akshay Kumar and Kaan Johar took to Twitter to announce the launch of new song Teri Mitti dedicated to doctors, nurses and paramedical staff who are fighting to keep us safe and alive amid the Coronavirus pandemic. The song will be unveiled tomorrow. The song Teri Mitti was originally filmed for Akshay’s film Kesari now it has been given new and changed lyrics for doctors and medical staff. 

Akshay took to Twitter and shared a snippet of the song with the words, “ , . #TeriMitti - Tribute 12.30 pm  
#DirectDilSe.”

In the video along with the tweet, the first two lines of the song flash on the screen. “Sarhad pe jo wardi khaki thee, ab uska rang safed hua. Teri mitti mein mil jaavan, gul ban ke main kheel jaavan. Itni si hai dil ki aarzoo (The colour of a soldier’s khaki uniform has now transformed into white coat. Will die and become one with motherland, will re-appear as flowers, that is the only wish).

Karan also tweeted about the upcoming song. Dharma Productions ahd produced Kesari last year. The official handle wrote, “They are fighting to keep us safe and for that we are forever grateful. A tribute from our hearts to theirs, #TeriMitti. Song out tomorrow at 12:30pm. @akshaykumar @ParineetiChopra @SinghAnurag79 @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @SunirKheterpal @bpraak @arkopravo19 @manojmuntashir @azeem2112 @adityadevmusic.”

Parineeti Chopra who starred in Kesari opposite Akshay also tweeted about the song Teri Mitti.
