Coronavirus: Switzerland's Matterhorn mountain lights up with the Indian flag to show solidarity; Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and others spellbound

It won't be wrong to say that the alarming spread of Coronavirus has resulted in 2020 to be the blackest years in the recent past. With the economy hitting an all-time low, developed as well as under-developed countries are at the receiving end. Now, as the battle against the novel COVID-19 is in full swing, Switzerland projected the Indian flag on the famous Matterhorn mountain yesterday. The gesture was to show that Switzerland stands in solidarity with India's fight against Coronavirus. The mountain was lit by Light Art Innovator- Gerry Hofstetter who is responsible for displaying spectacular visuals of flags of different countries combatting the deadly COVID-19 as a part of a nightly series that sends out messages of support and hope.

Soon after the picture of the Indian flag on the 4,478 meters long Matterhorn mountain that stands tall between Switzerland and Italy went viral, Bollywood celebrities couldn't help but feel proud and were left stunned. Abhishek Bachchan, on Instagram, wrote, "The Indian tricolour was projected on Switzerland's landmark peak the Matterhorn this morning, as an expression of solidarity and to give hope and strength to all Indians in these difficult times! Thank you @anantgoenka2 for sharing this.  #JaiHind © Light Art by Gerry Hofstetter & photo by Gabriel Perren Photo courtesy: Embassy of Switzerland to India and Bhutan Swissnex India"
