The rapid spread of the deadly Coronavirus has enabled the world to come to a complete standstill. With the infection multiplying among citizens at an alarming rate, the Government in India and Maharashtra have announced a lockdown in certain cities and states to fight against the virus. Declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation, Coronavirus aka COVID-19 is a threat to human lives. Now, with a lockdown, shoots of films, television shows and web content, celebrities are homebound. Practicing self-isolation, B-Town has distanced itself from the crowd but only physically and not through social media. A social media antakshari gained momentum during the period of self-isolation.
The first round of online antakshari was only between Aparshakti Khurana and singer Jonita Gandhi. Aparshakti had to sing a song beginning with the alphabet ‘H’. Aparshakti, who recently made his debut as a singer with the song Kudiye Ni, gave us a glimpse of his beautiful voice once again as he crooned a few lines from the song Haye Re Haye Neend Nahin Aaye from the 1970 release Humjoli. Carrying the game forward, Aparshakti tagged Neeti Mohan, Darshan Raval, Akriti Khurana, Tahira Kashyap, Ayushmann Khurrana and Jonita Gandhi. Soon, Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Shashank Khaitan, Amar Kaushik, Mudassar Aziz, Ananya Pandey, Badshah, Lisa Mishra, Parampara Thakur, Maithili Thakur, Rj Rahul Makin, Rj Alok, Huma Quereshi, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh from Fukrey, Bhumi Pednekar, Nupur Sanon, Pranutan Bahl, Mukesh Chhabra and Stylist Jay Samuel joined the bandwagon.
The latest to participate was Tiger Shroff who was nominated by Ananya Panday and Dino Morea. The handsome actor, on Tuesday, shared videos of him singing Sab Tera from his film Baaghi to complete Ananya's challenge and later followed it up with Jab Tak from MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. After that, Tiger nominated his War co-star Hrithik Roshan, rumoured girlfriend and Baaghi 2 co-actor Disha Patani, his Heropanti actress Kriti Sanon and Baaghi 3's leading lady Shraddha Kapoor.
