Homi Adajania's upcoming Angrezi Medium stands tall amongst the highly anticipated projects of the year. Starring Irrfan, Radhika Madan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in important roles, the film will tell the tale of a father who will take limitless measures to make sure his daughter's dreams are fulfilled. Now, as the film is set to release in theatres this Friday, the makers have been delighting fans with an array of songs. After the peppy numbers Ek Zindagi, Nachan Nu Jee Karda and Kudi Nu Nachne De, a soul-stirring and emotional track was released on social media platforms today. Titled Laadki, the song features Kareena, Irrfan, Radhika and Dimple Kapadia. For the unversed, Dimple plays the role of Kareena's mother in the film.
The song perfectly pays ode to the relationship a parent shares with the child. From getting the child ready for school to ensure that they receive the best of all, the role of a parent, be it a mother or father is irreplaceable and the song communicates this message in a melodious manner. Kareena acts as the narrator who takes the viewers down the memory lane. Laadki is sung by Rekha Bharadwaj, the music is composed by Sachin-Jigar. The lyrics are by Priya Saraiya.
Angrezi Medium which is a sequel to the 2017 hit film Hindi Medium is produced by Dinesh Vijan. It also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Deepak Dobriyal, Ranvir Shorey, Kiku Sharda, Myrah Dandekar, Poorvi Jain and Manu Rishi Chadha. Angrezi Medium is scheduled to release on March 13, 2020.
