CBFC gives a green signal to Taapsee Pannu's 'Thappad' with a 'U' certificate and no cuts

Taapsee Pannu, after a successful year at the box-office with Badla and Saand Ki Aankh in 2019, is all set to tell a hard-hitting and thought-provoking tale with Anubhav Sinha's Thappad. The film will revolve around violence against women and their take on relationships is one of the most important projects of the year which is awaited with bated breath. Now, as the film is about to release in another two days, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave it a clearance with a 'U' certificate.

Thappad has already made the right amount of noise in the public and has been winning the hearts of the audience at premiere shows. The film, along with a 'U' certificate, has been given a green signal with no cuts. With this move, the audience of all age groups can watch the film and take back a strong message put forth by the makers. 'U' can be said to be the most sought after rating by producers as the reach widens and is fit for viewing with children in attendance too.
