It was yesterday that Bollywood actor Irrfan had shared an emotional message with fans and the media, expressing his inability to promote his upcoming film Angrezi Medium. He even shared that the trailer of the film will be out on February 13. This morning, he even shared the latest poster of the film. The film has been directed by Homi Adajania and boasts of a stellar ensemble cast compromising of Radhika Madan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Tripathi, Deepak Dobriyal, Ranvir Shorey and others.
Now as promised, the trailer of the film is out and we must say, this is Irrfan Khan we have all been waiting for. The trailer begins with Irrfan attending a school function of his daughter, played by Radhika. As he is called on the stage to give a speech, he does it but in broken English. Soon we see Radhika asking her father, owner of a sweetmeat shop, to send her abroad to study. What follows is a hilarious tale of how Irrfan goes to any extent to send his daughter to study in UK. Nonetheless, Irrfan along with Deepak Dobriyal is at his best.
Meanwhile, once they reach London, Kareena makes her entry as a cop and she along with Irrfan light up the screen. We also see glimpses of Dimple and Pankaj in the trailer. Watch it here:
For the unversed, Irrfan is making his return to the silver screen with the film as he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in March 2018. He reportedly underwent surgery after completing the shoot of the film in London. Angrezi Medium is a Maddock Films production. It is a sequel to Hindi Medium, which was directed by Saket Choudhary and starred Pakistani actor Saba Qamar as the female lead apart from Irrfan.
