Sara Ali Khan revealed on Koffee with Karan 6 that she would like to date Kartik Aaryan. Soon after, Ranveer Singh introduced Sara and Kartik at an awards show. They ended up starring in Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal.
However, Sara recently revealed during the promotional rounds that it was not the first time the former rumoured couple met. Recalling how she had already met Kartik much before, Sara confessed, “Kartik and I actually did not meet the first time via Ranveer Singh. We had already met before. But we keep the lie to make Ranveer happy because he is such a sweetheart," as reported by a leading daily. For the unversed, Sara and Ranveer shared screen space in Rohit Shetty film, Simbaa.
Meanwhile, Sara's and Kartik's film hits theatres on February 14. When Sara was recently prodded about dating Kartik, she told the daily, “Whatever talks have happened, or will happen are going to continue, so I don’t really listen and pay heed to any kind of talks. But I don’t think Sara and Kartik were interacting on set because Imtiaz sir’s romance and his world is so overwhelming that it was only Zoe and Veer on set, who got to know each other very well."
Work wise, Sara has Coolie No 1 alongside Varun Dhawan and Atrangi Re with Akshay Kumar and Dhanush in the pipeline.
