Hopefully something will happen: Imtiaz Ali on getting Deepika Padukone and Kartik Aaryan onboard for a film

If there’s one new friendship that has been brewing in B-town and that too through social media it has to be Deepika Padukone and Kartik Aaryan. The actors connected because of the viral Dheeme Dheeme dance challenge where the actor taught Deepika his signature steps. Soon the two were seen having fun banters on social media but looks like now there’s a slight hope to see them soon on the big screen.

Ever since Deepika and Kartik have been seen together, audiences have been wanting them to pair up for a film. Rumours are even strong that Imtiaz Ali might get them together in a film. Today in an interview, the filmmaker has spoken about these rumours and given us some signs. After working with Deepika in Tamasha and Love Aaj Kal, when the filmmaker was asked is he going to work with her again along with Kartik Aaryan in his next film, he admitted that he has heard these rumours.

He said, “There’s nothing I’ve spoken to her about, but hopefully something will happen.” Now that sounds like some good news. Earlier too when the netizens wanted Kartik and Sara Ali Khan to come on the big screen, it was Imtiaz who made it happen. So let’s keep our fingers crossed about this one.

Kartik Aaryan is currently busy promoting Imtiaz Ali’s next Love Aaj Kal which releases on February 14. The actor is on a promotional spree along with Sara Ali Khan. While Deepika Padukone is prepping for her next film which is Shakun Batra’s next.
