Salman Khan inaugurates IIFA 2020 in Bhopal with Jacqueline Fernandez, recalls childhood memories of his hometown Indore

The official awards season in tinsel town is around the corner and fans can't contain their excitement to find out the trophies their beloved stars have bagged this year. While B-Town is host to a number of award function, International Indian Film Academy Awards aka IIFA is one of those ceremonies that the whole country awaits. The organisers of this 20-year-old event, after hosting the show in foreign countries, returned to their hometown Mumbai in 2019. Now, taking their India connect further, the team behind this prestigious evening, will be conducting IIFA 2020 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This is the first time IIFA will be held in Madhya Pradesh. 

For the inauguration of IIFA 2020, Salman Khan along with Jacqueline Fernandez attended a press conference in Bhopal on Monday. The Kick co-stars were joined by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath. During the press conference, Salman recalled childhood memories and told his family hails from Indore and went on to add that he is successful today because of the education he received in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from Salman, Jacqueline and Kamal Nath, state ministers, including Tourism Minister Surendra Singh Baghel and Culture Minister Vijaylaxmi Sadho, Chhindwara Member of Parliament Nakul Nath and chief secretary of MP S.R. Mohanty, were also at the event.

During the press conference, Salman announced that he will be hosting IIFA 2020, which will take place between March 27 to March 29, 2020. The pre-awards event will be held on March 21 in Bhopal.  

Workwise, Salman is shooting for Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. He will soon start working on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and Kick 2 with Jacqueline.
