Back in Mumbai, Rishi Kapoor reveals he was hospitalized due to an infection; asks everyone to put speculations on his ill heath at rest

Rishi Kapoor, who was shooting in Delhi for his upcoming film, Sharmaji Namkeen, was hospitalized on Friday for a fever. Since then, various reports of his ill health have cropped up. Son Ranbir Kapoor was also seen heading out to the capital to be by his father’s side, with girlfriend Alia Bhatt tagging along.

Now, after many speculations, the veteran actor has clarified on Twitter saying it's nothing but pollution. “Dear family, friends, foes and followers. I have been overwhelmed by all your concern about my health. Thank you. I have been filming in Delhi past 18 days and because of the Pollution and my low count of neutrophils, I caught an infection whereby I had to be hospitalized.”

Also addressing the baseless rumours doing the rounds, he said, “I was running a slight fever and on investigation, Dr.s found a patch which could have lead to pneumonia, was detected and is being cured. People seem to have assumed a lot different. I put to rest all those stories and look forward to entertain and love you. I am now in Mumbai.”

Speaking about his heath Rishi earlier told a news agency in a statement, "I have had an infection which am getting treated. Nothing dramatic. Pollution got me I guess."

The actor has reportedly wrapped up his portions of the Delhi schedule and is expected to begin the next schedule in Mumbai soon.
