'It's called having a heart,' says Dia Mirza addressing trolls targeting her for crying during a panel discussion at Jaipur Literature Festival

Dia Mirza recently came under the spotlight after her emotional breakdown during a panel discussion on climate change at Jaipur Literature Festival 2020. The actress who wept bitterly, was brutally trolled by Netizens and even went ahead to call her sasti Greta Thunberg soon after the video went viral on social media platforms on Tuesday. While social media users continued to criticise the breakdown, Dia schooled and hit back at them via Twitter.

The Sanju actress replied to all those who posted unlikely and hate messages for her. To one of the users, Dia wrote, "Its called having a heart. Try it sometime. It makes you a part of the solution." In another response to a message that lauded her, the actress said, "We must never hide the true extent of our feelings. Ever." When a fan of hers poured out love, she expressed gratitude by writing, "Our tears our own. But our actions can continue to bring more people together and its such a privilege."

Dia, during the discussion, then revealed that she got emotional regarding the news of the death of NBA player Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Onore Bryant in a helicopter crash that took place on January 27, 2020. "My day started really well yesterday (January 26). At around 3am, this news alert came on my phone for a very big player, NBA player who I followed for a while. His chopper crashing in California disturbed me. It really upset me. There are different things that upset us on different days, but we take care of ourselves. I was overwhelmed because my blood pressure was low," Dia told.
