For the unversed, Udaybhan Rathod was a Rajput officer in Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s army. Talking about his transformation, Saif mentioned, “This is a change of look because I have had a daadi (beard) and a look in this whole film. I’m playing a famous character in Indian history. I don’t think you can mention Tanhaji’s story without Udaybhan’s story."

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is a biographical period drama film, which also stars Luke Kenny, Ajinkya Deo and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on January 10.
