Sidharth Malhotra was last seen angry young man Raghu in the Milap Zaveri-directed Marjaavaan and his act impressed the audience and critics alike. Now we hear that the actor is working towards positioning himself as an action hero in the commercial space. According to a report in a leading daily, Sidharth is looking to collaborate yet again with Bhushan Kumar, Nikkhil Advani and Milap again on another action film.
"Recently, Bhushan approached Sidharth with a new action film which is being scripted by Milap. Sid has shown interest in the subject and the makers are working towards developing the script further,” the daily quoted a source as saying. Reportedly, Sidharth and the film’s team had been discussing the same even before the release of Marjaavaan.
Looks like Sidharth is also going the South remake way!
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sidharth recently wrapped up shooting for the Vishnu Vardhandirected Vikram Batra biopic, Shershaah, and will also be seen in Indra Kumar’s next film, a comedy which features him alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. “The new film with the Marjaavaan team will go on the floors towards the second half of the year, after the script is locked and a director is brought on board,” added the source. The yet-untitled film will be produced by Dil Raju. “The makers are completing formalities pertaining to the remake rights,” the source signed off.
For the unversed, Dil Raju is also backing the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey, a Hindi remake of the 2019 sports-drama by the same name.
