As 2019 is nearing its end, Twitter India has started a new trend with the hashtag #ThisHappened2019. In spheres of entertainment, sports and politics, Twitter has shared the list of handles that were the most active throughout the year.
The most-tweeted handle among male actors was of Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. Following him is Akshay Kumar, who takes the second spot and why not, his popularity with back to back hits is on a rise Third on the list is Dabangg 3 star Salman Khan while Shah Rukh Khan stands at the fourth spot. As far as the female celebs are concerned, Sonakshi Sinha tops the list, followed by Anushka Sharma, Lata Mangeshkar, Archana Kalpathi, Priyanka Chopra in the top five. Apart from them, Kajal Aggarwal, Sunny Leone, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Rakul Singh Preet are also part of top ten on the list. Check out:

Meanwhile, in politics, top spot in the male section goes to PM Narendra Modi while in sports, it aligns to Virat Kohli's name. For females, Smriti Z Irani and PV Sindhu take the respective first positions.
