I don’t get scared because I don’t have a surname to protect: Taapsee Pannu

Bold, beautiful and all things dramatic - That's how Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu likes it. "I am a drama queen in real life," she smiled as she entered the auditorium during the ‘Women in Lead’ session, at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), 2019. From the South industry to Bollywood, Taapsee's journey has been incredible but what has constantly kept her in headlines is her honest attitude. When asked about her controversial comments and honest opinions, Taapsee said she is not "scared".

Taapsee is as bold in her choices as are her characters on screen. She said, “I don’t get scared because I don’t have a surname to protect. I am not answerable to a family legacy. That’s why I say that I have an edge being an outsider. I am here because I am having fun. And till the time I am having fun, I will do everything that the world tells me I can’t do. The day I get bored or get similar offers, I will happily and gracefully step down and do something else in life. For me, films are not the be all and end all of my life.”
