Randeep Hooda joins Radhika Apte and Richard Roxburgh in Apple’s web show 'Shantaram', begins shoot in Bhopal

Randeep Hooda has time and again proven to be an actor par excellence. With gritty and intense roles to his kitty, the 43-year-old left no stone unturned to make them memorable. Randeep, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Rat On A Highway, it seems has signed yet another exciting project. As per reports of a leading daily, the Baaghi 2 actor has been roped along with Radhika Apte and Australian actor Richard Roxburgh for Apple’s International drama web show Shantaram, which is inspired by Gregory David Roberts’ bestselling novel of the same name.

As per the reports, Randeep has started shooting for the ten-part web series in Bhopal from November 14. The shoot in Bhopal will take place across locations including Chowk Bazar and other areas in the old part of the city. Directed by Justin Kurzel, the filming of Shantaram will go on for almost a year and the team will be travelling across the country for the same. As per the daily, the technical crew behind Shantaram has reached the country and have started the production work.

Speaking of Shantaram, the Paramount Television and Anonymous Content project will also star Charlie Hunnam, who will play the role of an Australian man who escaped the prison and made his way into Mumbai. Radhika will portray a journalist who is on a hunt for answers.
