Producer Champak Jain, brother of Ratan Jain no more, breathes his last after succumbing to brain hemorrhage

Bollywood on Thursday played host to the unfortunate news of the demise of a prominent personality in the world of film production. Champak Jain, the owner of Venus Records & Tapes and United 7 and brother of eminent personalities Ratan Jain and Ganesh Jain passed away due to brain hemorrhage. Champak, during his active years in Bollywood, has been credited to some of the iconic and classic films made in the history of cinema including Khiladi, Josh, Baazigar among many. The veteran was admitted to Criticare hospital in Mumbai and succumbed to ill health on Thursday at 7.30pm.

The renowned trade analyst Atul Mohan confirmed the news through his Twitter account and recalled fond memories of the late producer. "Champak Jain (brother of Ganesh Jain & Ratan Jain) of Venus Records & Tapes and United 7 is no more. RIP Champak Ji, you will always be remembered for your very helpful nature and for that smile which could even win over anybody," he wrote while announcing the sad news. Bollywood indeed lost one of its gems today.

The family of the deceased, in a statement, informed that the funeral will take place on Friday at 11 am at Santacruz Crematorium.
