Dolled up in 'chooda' and 'sindoor', Priyanka Chopra Jonas paints the town red, literally, as she celebrates her first 'Karva Chauth' with Nick Jonas at his concert

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, though has attained the status of a global star rightfully, is a true blue desi girl at heart and she has mirrored this fact quite a number of times. Married to American pop singer Nick Jonas in December last year, the Bajirao Mastani actress adapted to the Jonas culture but stayed grounded to her religious beliefs too. And as the nation celebrated the pious festival of Karva Chauth where women fasted for their beloved husbands, how can our desi girl Priyanka stay behind? Considering the festival being her first as a married woman, the actress brought it in full spirit and enthusiasm with her husband Nick.

For the festival, Priyanka added her personal touch by opting for DIY Mehendi. With a delicate floral design done on the back of her hand, the actress seemed all excited. She also shared a picture as she got dressed for the celebration. Having applied a generous amount of sindoor, Priyanka couldn't stop smiling. A while later, on her Instagram stories, she shared a picture of bright red choodas that is an important ornament and symbolises the status of being married. And as we kept waiting for the couple of the hour to make an appearance on our Instagram feeds, Priyanka blessed us with an endearing shot with Nick from the celebrations that took place at the concert venue where the Jonas Brothers were performing. Dressed in a gorgeous red saree with golden sequinned work, Priyanka and Nick painted the town red, literally.

Priyanka and Nick tied the knot in Jodhpur in December last year. The ceremony was attended by family members of the couple along with a few of their close friends. They got married according to both Hindu and Christian rituals.
