The trailer of the much-awaited Bigil starring Thalapathy Vijay and Nayanthara has just been unveiled. Directed by Atlee, the film is a sports drama that revolves around a women’s football team that has been coached by Vijay’s character. The trailer has created quite a buzz amongst the audience and many celebs including Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar have appreciated it.
Vijay is seen in two avatars in the film, one as a young football player with the name ‘Michael’ written on his jersey and the other as Rayappan, a local don. Michael is also known as Bigil. The older Vijay, Rayappan takes to coaching the women’s football team. The trailer has many shots of the women’s team training as well and will remind you of Chak De as well in a few scenes. In fact, Shah Rukh called the film as ‘Chak De on steroids.’

Bigil has been produced by AGS Entertainment and has been made on a whopping budget of Rs 180 crore. The film has a stellar cast that includes Kathir, Yogi Babu, Indhuja Ravichandran, Varsha Bollamma, Jackie Shroff, Robo Shankar, Reba Monica John, Gayathri Reddy, and so on.
